Revolutions happen as each New Age comes into existence,
And each protest carries within itself,
Support for a new ideological acceptance,
A queen was ridiculed,
Beheaded by the crowd;
They had asked for bread—
The Bread Is Still Being Baked
“Let them eat cake,” went the tale.
Then new leaders came,
And promised them bread,
But the promise was lost
In the wars ahead.
Was the queen right?
Did they have enough cake to survive?
Was the bread not baked yet?
More than two centuries passed,
But bread was still scarce,
Compared with the cakes,
That left sickness in their wake.
Once again, the youth arose,
To ask for homes, jobs and bread;
They did not want the cakes,
Supplied in excess instead.
“The bread is still being baked—
Please accept the cakes!
There is no money for your needs;
Here are quick fixes that will carry you through space!
Aeroplanes are cheaper, mobiles abound , deep quality films , dancing and singing , everything is given for stop gap arrangements,
While the war is On at high stake tables ”
The needs of the common citizen
Are still in turmoil,
While weapons are bought ,
From the wealth of their toil.
The leaders buy the latest weapons,
At almost forty percent of national income ,
The effort is on surviving alive,
To prevent loans & debts controlling might !
No huge investment on regular needs ,
It’s boring for several to meditate and be positive in turmoil ,
There is no money to invest on teaching logic or negotiation skills,
As the demand for nuclear weapons rises high !
But when hunger strikes,
And there is no bread that is yet baked,
All are offered cake ,
To survive till the right food arrives !
Why not focus on the glorified weddings, the fashion on stage, enjoy your life , forget balance or rights !
There is always more money ,
For another grand display,
That leads to more loans,
More stress and lesser homes ,
Yet never enough for the bread,
That carries life through the day.
Money is spent on wars and weapons,
On excitement & thrills ,
On lights and glitters ,
On preparing for another fight,
Before the skills of negotiation,
Are ever brought to light.
Investment comes first to guns,
Before schools can teach logic or reason.
People keep asking for happiness,
But fear keeps making decisions.
There are fatty foods on every street,
And promises piled high;
The leaders feast in the shadow of war,
While the bread queues stretch outside.
Once the guns and weapons are ready,
The urge returns to fight—
As though a video game were on,
And education could wait another night.
The common citizen grows afraid
And agrees to more defence,
Sacrificing daily needs,
In the name of saving common lives !
Yet humanity survived,
Before the nuclear age;
Must every fear become a weapon,
And every difference, rage?
Introduce positive thinking,
Mindfulness and meditation;
In primary schools and colleges,
Social media and films ,
That train the human mind !
Teach Communication skills ,
That prevent war escalation !
Let peace become a practice,
Let compassion enter education.
For wars take shape in the mind
Before they reach the ground;
When people sit and focus on happiness,
Another path may yet be found.
Therapy can help calm the mind
And loosen fear held deep inside;
Perhaps the road to peace grows clearer
When the inner wars subside.
Queen Marie Antoinette was sacrificed,
Her family torn apart by strife ,
International & national demands were high,
While the queen was asked to wait for the bread to rise.
Now the cakes have grown ever higher,
And the common man demands rights,
To think, to feel , to live a happy and healthy life !
While the bread is still being baked,
Weapons for war improve in technology and wars are still prioritised !
The primitive man fought with guns,
The modern man needs nuclear weapons,
Whoever crosses to power cannot look aside,
Until mindfulness and positivity become the first priority of life !
Remember that individuals create masses,
And inner feelings multiply ,
There is a greater need to meditate , to focus on water , than fire in skies ,
Meditate on rivers & beaches
Look at water flowing in ease,
Focus on water than anger can calm the war inside every common man !
Get rights to women who suffer in hiding still !
So that minds are ready to receive abundance without guilt,
and weapons can be drowned as international wars do not arise !
And maybe the bread will be baked in time ,
Once each mind is focused on peace inside !
